  • What to Pack?

    • Comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in and some that are not too precious as we will be working with clay and they may get dirty.
    • Yoga clothing and a swimsuit if you feel like taking a dip.
    • House shoes/slippers for indoors.
    • Sneakers or hiking shoes for trails and or biking through trails, and towns.
    • Flip flops to lounge around the pool area.
    • Perhaps a book for your free time
    • Water bottle
    • Sunscreen (not P20)
    • Sunglasses and or sunhat

These are suggested items of clothing.

    • Yoga: leggings or shorts and tops.
    • Meditation: same as for yoga or loose-fitting clothing.

You want clothes you can easily move in for yoga and clothes that feel comfortable for everything else.

As the retreat is in April expect sunny days and perhaps chilly nights so make sure you bring a warm coverup for the nighttime.

For the cacao ceremony, bring clothing that makes you feel like a Goddess. A flowy dress or skirt or anything special to you. Feel free to add accessories that make you feel light and free, whimsical and joyful. We will be sitting cross-legged for parts of the ceremony so something loose and long works best. Have a bit of fun with this and see what inspires you.

Don’t forget a comfy long sleeve or wrap for the chilly nights, as the stars are gorgeous and it may be nice to do our reflection circles and planning under the great big sky on the rooftop.

You will be given 8 scholarly articles a few weeks before the retreat about the various topics we will cover and reflect upon as a group in more detail. It is encouraged that you read the assigned articles before the retreat. You could probably read them on the flight over, dpending on where you are traveling from.

You will be completing burnout questionnaires pre and post-program to establish efficacy and opportunity to reflect on program improvement.

Each participant will receive a personal journal-sketchbook for recording various emotions, behaviors, thoughts, ideas, and evolution which will enhance the experience, and provide a great reference should you want to look back at our work together in the future. Journaling is not a requirement, and it is at each participant's discretion. Journal prompts and intention setting will occur daily to facilitate this practice.

  • How do I get CME?

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Continuing Education, Inc. and Silver Spaces, LLC. Continuing Education, Inc. is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team."

Continuing Education, Inc. designates this live activity for 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity helps address certain relevant blindspots within the clinicians’ clinical, administrative and personal day-to-day practice, while learning how reflective practice can be applied to themselves and their peers. This is accomplished via an awareness engine that surfaces nudges at the right place and the right time for clinicians to engage and reflect. The clinician is prompted to reflect upon how the surfaced content within the nudge applies to their day-to-day. This reflection is captured in their learning journal allowing to serve as serving as both a reference for the learner and a nudge to share with their team.

The North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association (NCOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The NC Osteopathic Medical Association designates this program for a maximum of 14 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

    14 Additional CME credits eligible.

    Powered by CMEfY

This experience is powered by CMEfy – an AI-powered platform that directs learners along a pathway to capture reflections at the point of inspiration, point of care. Clinicians may earn CME/CE credit via ReflectCE, the accredited activity portal. Learn more at about.cmefy.com/cme-info

  • What is the itinerary?

Daily yoga, light breakfast/brunch, pottery, break, lunch/light meal/snack, meditation, some planned activities as a group in the area on different days and free time to relax and enjoy the time as you choose. I.e. visit to Lagoa beaches, Morgado do Quintao vineyard, ferry to Ria formosa national park's island beaches,  journal, get a massage, incredible dinners, evening reflection circles, among other opportunities on different days. (The style of meals served between morning and midday may vary daily based on the timing of our morning schedule of activities - ie. yoga on a full stomach is never wise.)

  • I need a roommate. How do I arrange that?

We can arrange that for you and assign someone or you can invite a friend to join you and let us know that you would like to a share with someone in particular and provide the name.

Be mindful that spots are limited.

There will only be a total of two shared-room options available to maintain the maximum capacity of 12 participants.

If you are planning to share with a friend, it is advised to place the deposit for both simultaneously so we don't accidentally lose the space while you wait for the friend and some innocent miscommunication prevents the reunion you had hoped for.

  • Can I bring my kids/partner?

This is just for women Physicians.

If you and your partner are both women physicians and you would like to come together, it may be ok, although transformations of self often happen more freely when we are able to step away from our home, work and families to truly immerse in the experience. If you are unsure, we can talk through this together. Email me to set up a time.

  • Where do I fly into?

The closest airport is Faro (FAO) international . which is a 15-20min drive to Casa Fuzetta.

If coming from the US, Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon (LIS), is the most common direct flight.

There are inexpensive connecting flights from Lisbon to Faro or you can take a train, a bus, or hire a taxi/driver and stop along the way as the country has beautiful places to see everywhere you turn.

Fascinatingly the flight is an 1h29min and the  drive is 2h40min. The price range for a flight from Lisbon to Faro and a taxi is about the same for both.

  • Is there transportation from the airport to the retreat venue?

Attempts will be made to help coordinate transport from both Lisbon and Faro airport with fellow guests to reduce travel cost from airport, but not guaranteed.

  • What is the weather like?

Bllue skies. It rarely rains this time of year.

Warm in the day -  high 60's low to 70's  & cooler at night - mid to high 50's, low 60's.
