  • What to Pack?

    • Comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in and some that are not too precious as we will be working with clay and they may get dirty.
    • Yoga clothing and a swimsuit if you feel like taking a dip.
    • House shoes/slippers for indoors.
    • Sneakers or hiking shoes for trails, and towns.
    • Flip flops to lounge around the pool area.
    • Perhaps a book for your free time, however there are many books to choose from at the home as well.
    • Water bottle
    • Sunglasses and or sunhat

These are suggested items of clothing.

    • Yoga: leggings or shorts and tops.
    • Meditation: same as for yoga or loose-fitting clothing.

You want clothes you can easily move in for yoga and clothes that feel comfortable for everything else.

As the retreat is in October, expect sunny days and perhaps chilly nights so make sure you bring a warm coverup for the nighttime.

For the cacao ceremony, bring clothing that makes you feel like a Goddess. A flowy dress or skirt or anything special to you. Feel free to add accessories that make you feel light and free, whimsical and joyful. We will be sitting cross-legged for parts of the ceremony so something loose and long works best. Have a bit of fun with this and see what inspires you.

Don’t forget a comfy long sleeve or wrap for the chilly nights, as the stars are gorgeous and it may be nice to do our reflection circles and planning under the great big sky, lounging on the deck.

  • Items Provided

Lighten your bag knowing that all of these things will be there for you...

    • Yoga mat, straps, blocks, bolsters, blankets
    • Linens, towels, bath robes
    • Collapsible Tote
    • Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion
    • Hairdryer
    • Journal and pen

And a few other surprises I will share as we get closer to our retreat.

  • Will there be work outside expected to be done before or after the retreat?

You will be completing burnout questionnaires pre- and post-program to establish efficacy and opportunity to reflect on program improvement.

Each participant will receive a personal journal-sketchbook for recording various emotions, behaviors, thoughts, ideas, and evolution which will enhance the experience, and provide a great reference, should you want to look back at our work together in the future. Journaling is not a requirement, and it is at each participant's discretion. Journal prompts and intention setting will occur daily to facilitate this practice.

  • What if I have allergies or a special diet?

Please let me know of any food limitations/dietary needs at sign up and I will make sure there is food that is safe and flavorful for you to eat.

  • What is the itinerary?

Daily yoga, light breakfast/brunch, pottery, break, lunch/light meal/snack, meditation, some planned activities as a group in the area on different days and free time to relax and enjoy the time as you choose. I.e. visit to a natural waterfall along the blue ridge mountains , brunch at a southern restaurant,  journal, get a massage, incredible dinners, evening reflection circles, among other opportunities on different days. (The style of meals served between morning and midday may vary daily based on the timing of our morning schedule of activities - ie. yoga on a full stomach is never wise.)

  • I need a roommate. How do I arrange that?

We can try to arrange that for you and assign someone or you can invite a friend to join you and let us know that you would like to a share with someone in particular and provide the name.

Be mindful that spots are limited.

There will only be a total of three shared-room options available to maintain the maximum capacity of 12 participants.

If you are planning to share with a friend, it is advised to place the deposit for both simultaneously so we don't accidentally lose the space while you wait for the friend and some innocent miscommunication prevents the reunion you had hoped for.

If we cannot match you with a roommate we will switch you to a single occupancy room which you will be required to pay for, however if you sign up early you will most likely get your desired choice.

  • Can I bring my kids/partner?

    This is just for women.

If you and your partner are both women and you would like to come together, it may be ok, although transformations of self often happen more freely when we are able to step away from our home, work and families to truly immerse in the experience. If you are unsure, we can talk through this together. Email me to set up a time.

  • Where do I fly into?

The closest airport is Charlotte Douglas (CLT) international which is about a 40 minute drive to our Oasis.

  • Is there transportation from the airport to the retreat venue?

Attempts will be made to help coordinate transport from the airport with fellow guests to reduce travel costs, but not guaranteed.

  • What is the weather like?

Bllue skies. It is usually warm and sunny this time of year. With the beautiful lanscape of changing colored leaves.

Warm in the day -  high 60's low to 70's  & cooler at night - mid to high 50's, low 60's with ow humidity compared to our summer months, making it an ideal time to come and visit.
